Berlin, Germany— On May 28th, SpaceChain Team launched a Kickstarter campaign for the first Orbital Selfie Balloon that will let you send a personal message to the world. This campaign introduces a new way to take a selfie with mother earth to show off to your friends and family.
The goal is to allow anyone to get a selfie photo with the earth in the background. The Orbital Selfie Balloon will display a users’ photo on the device’s tablet, making it easy to take a selfie shot. The device will also allow users to play a 60-180 second selfie-style audio-video message while in space.
Founder Francesco Bertucci explains, “Whether you want to make a speech to the whole world, or you just want to say hello to your friends or family… the Orbital Selfie Balloon will help you do it.”
Historically, space-related projects have been ineffective and expensive. The funds from this project will be exclusively used for 30% low emission aerospace research and the implementation of a low emission carrier. The project uses zero-emission balloon-based technology, along with low-cost nanosatellites that enable the complete recycling of device parts.
On close inspection, Orbital Selfie Balloon watch brings a fresh bold approach to space technology, along with a unique way to involve members of the public.
“The Orbital Selfie Balloon enables clear, cheap, and close to hand photos,” says Bertucci. “We’ll help you share a personal message with the world.”
This Kickstarter project has the potential to bring access to space to everyone, so that you take selfies and videos of yourself with the earth in the background. To help bring this product to market, a Kickstarter campaign has been launched which details how the Orbital Selfie Balloon watch works, the functionality, and how you can get in on the project.
In exchange for pledging to the project, backers can gain access to this opportunity for a limited-time discounted price of €25. All you need to do is to press a button and you’ll be able to get a selfie photo in space! For €150, you’ll be able to get a video in space that you can show off to your friends, family, or use in commercial production.
