Lunatic’s Bane is an atmospheric action role playing game taking place in a grim open world of bone and misery. Customize your character with unique weapons, armor, and spells to take on the hordes of enemies and many huge and brutal bosses. Converse with the deranged inhabitants to discover mysterious locations and events.

A lot of time and research was put into making sure that exploration is as rewarding as possible for the player. Lunatic’s bane is all about immersing yourself in a huge open world where every nook and cranny is filled with something new and interesting to experience.

• Huge hand crafted open world with over 20 unique environments such as Necrotic Forest, Frigid Tundra, and the Realm of Nightmares.
• Dynamic Weather/ Day and night cycles that will affect certain locations and events.

Influences

The gameplay of Lunatic’s Bane was influenced by a few Role Playing games such as Dark Souls, Diablo, Zelda, The Elder Scrolls series, and the Ys series. Some other notable games that shaped the games creation: Fallout, Ultima, The Binding of Isaac, and Silent Hill. The art and game world was influenced by the morbid and surreal universe of famous painter Zdzisław Beksiński’s works, as well as old Slavic folklore and mythology.

Platforms

The game is being made in Unity, so it will be playable on PC, Mac, and Linux. If successfully greenlit, it will be available on Steam.

Lunatic’s Bane is the first game that I’m working on by myself, on my own, from scratch. Its been such a thrill having full control over every aspect of development, this is a game I’ve been dreaming about for a long time.
