One Line is an emotional drama told through both the male and female perspective. The film tells the story of Zeb and Chastity and their struggles with infertility. When the clicking of the clock becomes too loud and there’s no fight left to give, the couple parts ways.
Our short film is written and produced entirely by students of the University of North Georgia’s Film and Digital Media program. We plan to create a film that sparks conversations around the topic of infertility and the toll that one line can have on a person’s life.
We are fully ready to take on the responsibility to tell this story that people live every day. Our cast and crew consist of experienced individuals that have worked for many years in this industry. We have all done intensive research on the topic of infertility to ensure that the story is told in its truest form.
Our cast and crew are extremely passionate about this story. We are doing everything to ensure that we make a beautiful film, but we cannot do that without your help.
What is this money going to?
FOOD = 20-person crew x 2 meals a day x 4 days = 160 meals
Note: Though feeding the crew is expensive it is vitally important. Our crew is made up of students and they do not make money working on this project, so food is truly vital.
ACTOR PAY = 2 actors x 4 days = 8 combined days of pay
Note: Paying our actors allows us to draw in more talented professionals who can handle the roles and deliver better performances for the project.
Production Fees, Film Festivals & Miscellaneous
Note: Miscellaneous includes equipment and other vital production necessities. Sound is very important when it comes to film making. We will use film festivals to reach people around the world. Submitting to a lot of film festivals means a lot of submission fees.
The Impact:
One Line seeks to have an extreme impact on many individuals, if not the whole world. Your contributions will help this film be made. Our purpose is to start a serious discussion regarding infertility. This film hopes to let someone struggling with infertility know that they aren’t alone, and their story is heard. Our film aims to spark media coverage, which could lead to an increase in funding for fertility research and lead to life-changing solutions.
We plan to submit this project to various film festivals and connect with as many viewers as possible. We feel that this is a story that needs to be told. Please help us start a conversation that matters. Please help us share someone’s story.
