Strategic and entertaining, “OCCO , Game of Tarot” adds a new dimension to card playing.

The 80 card, “OCCO” deck is colour coded, relating picture cards in 5 Suits: Cups, Coins, Swords, Wands and “OCCO” (Numbered Tarot cards with roman & arabic numerals from zero to 21). Basic play involves matching suit, number or symbols. Advanced players plan up to 5 plays in advance, as part of their master plan. In OCCO, the cards tell a constantly evolving story of epic battles and power struggles as each hand unfolds. Exclamations fly: “How many cards do you have?”… “MISPLAY!”… “Is that your last card?”… “How could you do that?”, or more fruity language, depending how your OCCO playing friends express themselves!

“OCCO , Game of Tarot” returns the Tarot to its cultural roots, redefining Tarot as a raucous, interactive multi-player game. Unlike medieval Tarot games, OCCO is NOT based on trumping or trick taking. “OCCO” play is continuous, featuring multi-directional turn taking, power cards, penalties and strategic hand building… (with a bit magic dust thrown in.)

“OCCO” gameplay is surprising, with endless “cosmic” variations occurring. Arguments, banter and laughter are an essential part of every hand! Penalty card attacks cause conflict in a dour power struggle for victory. Alliances are formed then shattered, strategy is paramount. Trust no one! After all, what other game allows you to summon “STRENGTH”, call for “JUSTICE”, play the “FOOL” or win with a “CELESTIAL BODY”?
