Now introducing The Sand Sculptor – the new toy from RSB International that helps children and their parents build castles, cars, fish, and dinosaur tracks. It’s easy for everyone to design the beach & sand box. The Sand Sculptor has been designed to take playing in the sand to a new level of fun and creativity. Scoop up sand, remove the mold, make a castle or car, and do it all over again with any of our creative new sand molds and play tools.

The Sand Sculptor is a very simple product. The scoop has a rail system at the back which lets you insert and remove sand molds and tools. The scoop is easy to use and as you pick up sand and lift up the scoop the sand falls right into the mold. The molds are then removed and create unique sand sculptures. You then insert a new mold and create all over again.

This product has been a long time in the making, and in all honesty, I have not spent the time designing this final scoop until the past year when my two kids have become really excited about the beach. The first idea of the sand sculptor came to me 13 years ago when I was in college studying Industrial Design. I had a few sketches of the idea that I saved and over the last decade I have pulled out the idea on random occasions and built a few rough prototypes.

I have been developing, managing, and engineering products for my company and clients for the last 10 years. I have run manufacturing in the US as well as Asia and I thankfully have learned the tricks of the trade in taking a product from initial concept to final production.

There are always challenges and one of the main difficulties is manufacturing overseas. I have worked in the US and abroad and it is very nice to be able to visit your manufacturer on a regular basis, but when your manufacturer is half way around the world, it becomes more difficult to manage the product. I have hired a manager in Asia for the Sand Sculptor who will be on the ground to follow the product from first molds to final production and shipping into the US. This will help maintain timelines and speedy production.

We will make the best effort to make sure all timelines are met and hopefully be in NYC for Toy Fair next February. Please share our campaign with friends and family to help us reach our goal. Thank you! www.kickstarter.com
