Norns first watch series; Avigate is made and designed to suit both female and male for every occasion.
Norns Avigate is an automatic watch, requiring no batteries. The watch is powered by the motion of the wrist and no manual winding is needed. The energy is stored and created by the rotor, a metal disc plate that spins with motion. This can only be achieved with precise engineering, workmanship and design.
The movement chosen to power the watch is a Miyota Automatic 8215 Japanese Movement. It is a workhorse that will last for decades and known to be comparable to Swiss ETA movement, but at a much affordable price. We’ve also positioned the circular date window to the 6 o’clock position, improving the aesthetics and design.
In order to find the perfect material for our watch, we did a thorough research on different materials used by big watch brands. We then made and went through many rounds of revisions before coming out with a design we are truly satisfied with, striking a perfect balance between quality and affordability.
We also managed to find a reputable watch manufacturer that is able to produce our desired watches in good quantity with quality assurance.
The money raised will be used solely for manufacturing of watches, packaging and shipping. We will be transparent with the money received and keep backers updated frequently, giving you a peace of mind with your investment.
After the Kickstarter campaign ends, it takes up to two weeks to process the money raised and manufacturing will start thereafter.
Manufacturing of the watches will take up to 3 months of lead time to ensure good quality watches are being produced. Henceforth, we will definitely not rush the manufacturing process and compromise quality,
After manufacturing is done, watches will be shipped directly to our office and the mailing process will begin. It will take about two months from receiving of shipment to delivering watches to backers . We will update the delivery status frequently and will immediately inform backers if there are any delays.
