Everything in the world to day is on social media. Facebook, Snap Chat, Twitter, Instagram, and many others. These are well known sites where users can connect to stay in touch with new friends and old friends and have a lot fun! Users can search/add/follow other users, post/like/share statuses consisting of text/pics/videos, along with a bunch of other fun things. While these are successful and have paved the way for social media, how many of them are designed to give you control of your future? None? Don’t fret, the new wave of social media is here with YouthKinect!

YouthKinect, founded by first-time entrepreneur and pro basketball player Andrew Fair, is a new social network with a trendsetting concept. I’m sure you guys are aware of scholarship and internship companies, but you have never heard of something like YouthKinect. YouthKinect has a similar concept to the top social media networks, but is kinects students with opportunities for scholarship, internship, job, and college expense saving opportunities all in one social network. That’s right, users can signup and stay in touch with their friends, but take complete control of their future. The site is live at www.youthkinect.com. YouthKinect has just launched a Kickstarter campaign at www.kickstarter.com.

Andrew Fair is a Chicago native and 2012 Business Management graduate from the University of St. Francis. He is a current professional basketball player with experience in the United States, Canada, Europe, and South America. Growing up on the south side of Chicago, Andrew lived in an environment where opportunities were minimal for youth like himself. He self-funded YouthKinect to provide unlimited opportunities to youth in the world today and to give everyone control of their future. Being that our youth today are influenced by social media, Andrew came up with the perfect idea to offer scholarship, internship, and career opportunities in a social network setting.

“I had a bad day yesterday, but I will be better today. I had a great day yesterday, but I will be better today. It all starts with our mindset. With the right mindset, we can control our own destiny. Everyday is a day to be better, so make it count!”
