Launching today on Kickstarter, Ticker Toes, a new project by Austin Texas resident David Eagan. Ticker Toes are stock market themed socks. They combine popular stock symbols with bright colors for fun and fashionable socks.
Eagan, a casual day trader, has noticed a lack of products that celebrate the stock market. “There is apparel for colleges and sports teams, and other things people are fans of – why not stocks?”
“People follow stocks very closely, but until now there is no way to show off your passion.” Years ago it was common to get stock certificates, but such a practice is uncommon and expensive today. This gives investors another way to show off their passions.
Eagan is trying to raise a modest $5,000 for the initial run of Ticker Toes. He already has 5 designs done including: $AAPL, $GOOG, $TSLA, $AMAN, and $FB. If they are popular he has plans to create other designs.
Right now manufacturers are waiting for the purchase order from Eagan to set up the facility to start producing.
