Philadelphia, PA — November 16, 2015 | Art Life Media Presents a new Film by Director Micah Nelson titled Must Be The Shoes.

It is the second week of the Crowdfunding Campaign for the film Must Be The Shoes, being presented on Indiegogo. The Production Company Art Life Media is set out to raise 15,000 to begin production on the Coming of Age film.

The film tells the story of “Spike”, the protagonist and his obsession with sneaker collecting. He soon comes to the Dilemma of having to put away his sneaker collection for the sake of love. But when An old girlfriend shows up she brings with her Nostalgia of past love and choices complicating his love life even more.

The film is heavy inundated with a Culture that has not been feature in mainstream Cinema.

The Sneaker Culture.

The Sneaker business is a 42 billion a year business. Hundreds of people line up for Nike Air Jordans on release date spending close to 500 dollars for a pair of “Retros”-previous released Sneakers with a few variations. Limited edition sneakers can be sold on Ebay for over a thousand dollars. There are hundreds of youtube channels dedicated to the “unboxing” of new sneakers. Furthermore there are yearly events celebrating the collecting of sneakers which brings out thousands of fans. We dubbed these fans as Sneakerheads.

American Moviegoers has been pleading for diversity in front and behind of the Camera for years. Director Micah Nelson is an African American Director whose most recent film “Directing Love Scenes” tackled such issues. “We’re moving towards an Era where African Americans are making waves in the film Industry” He states. “I want to continue to make high quality Films where stories with Minorities as the main characters are told with less emphasis on stereotypical storylines and outdated dialogue”.

With majority of Movie Studios focusing on Franchises and Adaptations of books, it is difficult to get a film containing no A list star produced. With the New Hope of obtaining momentum through Crowdfunding, Art Life Media hopes to give this production life and lead the new wave of Filmmakers.
