Know Thy Neighbor, the adult party game where players uncover the secrets of their social circles is now available on popular crowdfunding platform, Kickstarter.

Entrepreneurs Matt Deaton and Paras Tiwari are launching an all new spin on the card game. “Know Thy Neighbor” is an adult party game which has players guessing naughty details of their friends’ pasts, and spurs open dialogue on subjects not normally discussed in polite company.

Currently featured on the popular crowdfunding website, Kickstarter, the duo hopes to raise $12,000 to release the game.

The at-times controversial card game was created to “shake up” boring party conversation. ”We were tired of hearing the same questions over and over,” says Tiwari. “It’s time for a game to push the limits of what’s considered ‘socially acceptable’ conversation. Know Thy Neighbor does just that.”

Players draw an appropriate gender card and read it to the group, who then write down what they think is the answer. The player closest to the correct answer without going over wins the round. But, says Deaton, “These aren’t typical dinner party questions. They’re personal in nature… but to be funny, not to offend.” Adds Tiwari, ”There’s is a bit of shock value at first but it’s always followed by laughter and jaw-dropping stories.”

Know Thy Neighbor is entering the second half of its sixty day Kickstarter campaign to manufacture the first thousand units. The campaign has raised over 25% of its goal so far and the duo believes the best is yet to come . “The campaign has had tremendous support so far and we’re anticipating a very strong second half”.

Know Thy Neighbor was featured on Louisville’s WHAS11 Great Day Live, where the game caused several raised eyebrows, even enticing a local news anchor to admit how many times she’s “skinny dipped”. Adds Deaton, “The questions were edited for TV, of course. Imagine what would have happened if we brought the real questions.”

The duo recently launched a social media campaign which they are posting questions from the game on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, along with real life reactions from people being asked the questions on Vine.
