Brighton, UK – 8th June, 2015: Upper Downs Apparel, a premium cycling clothing company based near the South Downs National Park, has launched a Kickstarter campaign for an ultra breathable, super high performance cycling jacket.

After years of riding bikes through the South Downs’ famously unpredictable weather, founders Matt Parker and Henry Rendall have created their own multi-use high performance jacket after struggling to find a waterproof cycling jacket that was breathable, beautifully designed, and technical.

The Upper Downs Neo jacket offers maximum protection against the elements and ultra breathability in a lightweight, clean design with styling for wear on and off the bike.

With highly considered features including a removable hood with a hidden zip, a pack-away rear pocket, a lens cleaner and an intelligent phone chute, the Neo also uses the world’s most technically advanced breathable, waterproof fabric. Made entirely from Polartec® NeoShell® fabric with a ripstop face, the Neo offers superior durability and stretch form-fit whilst keeping the jacket incredibly light at just 96 grams per square metre.

Matt Parker, Director comments: “We’ve been working with some of the world’s top riders to produce an ultra technical cycling jacket that delivers on all performance levels whilst being versatile for outdoor sports and styled for lifestyle use. The result is Neo, a functional, ultra breathable, moisture wicking, lightweight, waterproof cycling jacket that looks great both on and off the trail.”

The Neo jacket is available to pre-order on Kickstarter now as part of a 25 day campaign on limited quantities at a heavily reduced price.
