NauNau (pronounced Now-Now) is your personal safety app that sends SOS alerts to 5 trusted pre-selected people from your contact lists during an emergency situation.
Whenever you are feeling unsafe, in any situation at all. Press NauNau on your phone. This will IMMEDIATELIY send alerts with your current GPS coordinated to your emergency contacts.
HOW DOES NAUNAU WORK?
1: Download ‘NauNau’ App from the App Store
2: Install and Quick Setup
3: Add your tribe (emergency contacts) to your account
4. Tap ‘NauNau’ to send alerts via SMS technology.
SO WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOUR TRIBE RECEIVES THE ALERTS?
A lot will happen!
When 5 people have your emergency alert versus none, they will mobilize faster because they know that every second counts!
1. They can use your last known GPS location to find you or at least know where to start looking.
2. If you are able to attach a video, they can use the video to identify the situation and surrounding.
3. They will be able to call for help in your immediate area that way there is a higher chance of aide.
WHO CAN USE NAUNAU?
Every single person with a smartphone can benefit from NauNau.
NauNau is designed to improve everyone’s safe wellbeing by offering them that sense of “you are not alone”.
For example, your elderly/aging parents will benefit from NauNau because help will be a press of a button or a voice command away. If they have an accident or have some kind of health issues and need immediate help, they can press NauNau and send emergency alerts to their tribe for help, possibly including their doctor’s or nurse’s number.
As a mobile app, it offers users safety guidance in unknown or known environments using a GPS location to share where you are with your loved ones via SMS. It will help you feel safe and confident wherever you are.

WHAT MAKES NAUNAU UNIQUE?
Other than the fact that its first of its kind in Nigeria, its black-owned and woman-owned, it provides that sense of safety and emergency responsiveness using GPS location and SMS technology.
You are relying on the people you know to help and rescue you if you find yourself in danger.
Again – “We are our brothers’ keepers” always comes to mind.
HOW YOUR MONEY WILL HELP LAUNCH NAUNAU
To reach our goals and bring NauNau to life, we need YOU!
Every kobo, every penny from your contribution will bring the project to life.
Every single day, you hear stories of someone being attacked, kidnapped or raped or in some sort of domestic violence dispute where an app like NauNau could have helped.
At the moment, there is no such thing as 911 in Nigeria so WE, the citizens, have to look out for ourselves. And even where there is 911 structure, we still have to look out for each other.
We are already on our smartphones 24/7, we might as well make it our safety companion.
It’s been a labor of love, in the works since 2019. So far, we have spent over $10,000 of our savings to get to where we are; but we find ourselves at the point where we need financial help to progress to the next level.
Your donations will allow us to fully develop the app by:
1. Hiring more dedicated developers so that we can meet our intended launch date in September 2022.
2. Securing server space and other resources to manage the messages/alerts back and forth.
3. Marketing and Branding in order to bring awareness to NauNau. These activities will also create jobs; trainers and agents that will aid promotions of the app.
