A studio in your hands – create your own music and mixes anywhere, anytime!

An on-screen music-maker for mobile users, complete with an ever-increasing selection of sounds. This will enable the user to play around with drum rhythms, bass-lines, chords, melodies, and sound effects. They will be able to create a variety of pieces of music in a range of genres and styles including: Techno, Soundtrack, Hip Hop, Dubstep, Chill, House, Pop Rock, Traditional, Regional, …and many more

Music Production of the people, by the people, for the people…

The aim is to provide anyone with even the most basic/small smart phone, with the ability to produce their own music, backing, mixes. To people who cannot afford the laptop, software, library of sounds, amplifier, or the high-end smart phones etc. this music-maker will offer a low-cost “Studio in your hands!“

It will enable users to be engaged creators, not just consumers of other people’s’ content.

Sound packs for the music-maker will be added to in an ever broadening catalogue. We will be collaborating with artists throughout Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and beyond. So the sound packs will extend across many genres, instruments and sounds, providing the music-maker with an ever-widening appeal.

Project Status:

Prototypes for Micro and Standard music-makers have been tested and are working as a live music-maker on Android, Windows 7, 8, 10, for PC, and Windows 8 for Tablet. Ongoing development will now focus on features such as:

• Sync on beats, on bars, off
• Tempo adjust
• Bank mix and match – sound audition/selection – ‘custom layout’
• Import sounds – add-on packs, and/or use your own,
• Use as beat-maker to create a beat, bass-line etc, and then use that to build a full mix…
• Record/playback, Sequencer
• Volume mixer (per sound), Sound Effects – e.g.: stutter, pan…
• Sound names on pads
• and other features including user requests…
