This is a thesis film being made by Ryan Lakestream and Oliver Beyer. We have been friends since we were 18 and have recently collaborated in the past year. Ryan is a senior at the School of Visual Arts and Oliver is a third year student. This campaign is important because more people want to get on board and help, and we want to get this film finished looking as best as it possibly can. There is no better feeling than a room full of people laughing at our jokes, and we want to spread this film to as many festivals as possible getting anyone who watches this to laugh and brighten their day. Comedy is a tool so powerful it can change someones life.
Money Shooters is about a geeky guy named Claudio who is dating the most popular pornstar in the business, Jessica Crotch Waffle. Jessica decides she loves Claudio so much that she is going to respectfully quit the business to be with him. Claudio is so paranoid about dating a pornstar that before Jessica can tell him that she quit, he breaks up with her. Jessica’s boss, Beefy McManstick feels so betrayed that she left that he kidnaps her. Claudio teams up with Damien Russell “The One Eyed Muscle” who was once a very successful pornstar. Claudio must save the love of his life before it is too late.
The $850 you donate will help us go incredibly far. It’s going to help us get the film edited, color corrected, get special effects done, and distribute and market this film to as many festivals as possible. In return, we will be sending out official movie posters, producer credits, advanced screening, dinner with the director and executive producer and invitations to premiers and festivals.
Too many people in this world don’t laugh enough, and the goal here is to have people laugh as hard as possible. We have had success recently with our last film “Gears of War Mercy’s End” which was recently put up on Machinima. All we want is to hear the laughter of an audience from the final product… and see a giant pickle fight pornstars.
