Mars had to find human beings. The focus was activated to human. The walk, run, a limp, rolling, crawling, climbing. Crouching, huddled, sitting and sleeping. Mars was focused to scan for the human silhouette. He was programmed for every millimeter height and every milligram of weight. His telescopic eyes could scan up to 2 miles. It was impossible for him to miss anyone remotely resembling a human being.
Mars stood on a rock and rotated. At 86.26 degree of the turn there was a match. A human being. Huddled in a 1 inch thick striped black blanket at a distance of 1 mile and 628 meters.
The terrain was rough. It would not be possible to glide. Mars began to run. A staccato fast run. He had already mapped the route. Going through jagged rocks, missing edges by the millimeter he reached the target.
