Melbourne, AU – Three days into Three1Design’s Kickstarter campaign for MaCO, a magnetic cable organizer, the project surpassed it’s $10k fundraising goal with support from almost 400 backers. Now, the project has raised almost twice their initial fundraising goal and the project has exploded to 676 backers. With 24 days to go, the team is optimistic about hitting their first 2 stretch goals.
“We funded over 50% of our goal in first 24 hours. It is very exciting and hope we could keep the momentum going so that we can unlock stretch goals to benefit all our backers!” – MaCO Team.
MaCO is a new product that helps keeps cables neat, organized, and tangle-free. The device is portable and secures cables from headphones, laptop chargers, and USBs by using a magnetic locking mechanism that attaches and detaches with ease.
The magnets on MaCO allow you clip your headphones onto your shirt when you are walking or jogging, so that it will not swing around. MaCO also keep your headphones from falling when the earpieces come off from your ears.
In addition, MaCO Platform, a product extension, allows you attach multiple cables to a desk or wall with provided 3M Command Damage-free double sided adhesives. Consolidating all the cables onto one platform allows you to pick the cables you need easily as opposed to finding each one on the floor.
“Cables from iPhones, computers, tables, and other devices are used every day. We believe that everyone has the experience of tangling cables, which is very frustrating. Inspired and motivated by these problems, we dedicated to come up with MaCO (Magnetic Cable Organiser)” – MaCO Team.
After going through numerous prototypes and test rounds, the team turned to Kickstarter for the initial production run. The community has responded enthusiastically, funding the project to over 800% of its original goal. The project will run until August 24th, during which time backers can support the campaign in exchange for a MaCO in different colors and the MaCo Platform.
