Low Cost Housing Solutions Converts Recycled Shipping Containers into Housing

Atlanta,Georgia March 18, 2014 – Low Cost Housing Solutions (LCHS) has initiated a GoFundMe campaign seeking funding to develop a prototype of its shipping container home that will be used to house homeless families in Atlanta. Our GoFundMe campaign is raising funds to help alleviate the shortage of beds for homeless individuals in Atlanta. The management team of (LCHS) with over 40+ years of business experience is uniquely qualified to solve the 1,700 beds that are unavailable every night for homeless people in Atlanta.

LCHS stands for Low Cost Housing Solutions. These words are the foundation of LCHS, whose goal is to provide housing to those who most desperately need it around the globe. Our solution can solve temporary housing needs for homelessness and those created by natural disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes, fires, and floods.

LCHS utilizes surplus shipping containers resulting from the United States’ consistent trade deficit. These containers serve as the building block of LCHS housing, but go through an extensive conversion process to make them a home. LCHS offers an affordable housing solution that is scalable and fully portable. Each LCHS unit includes 1st world amenities for a price of less than $15,000 (US)

LCHS’s is developing a prototype that’s fully portable and will be used to conduct market research and procure sales. The urban-style plan features a full kitchen, washroom with shower, owner’s bedroom and can accommodate 2-6 people. The urban-style plan is designed to be stacked in an attached multi-family condominium configuration with communal recreation areas, and will include solar energy, air conditioning and hot water.

This radical new approach to housing would open up a brand new market segment that is an order of magnitude more affordable than the current offerings in the marketplace. This is a vastly scalable,simple, more convenient and broadly affordable solution to Atlanta’s housing crisis.
