John Bintz is seeking funding for his casual press-your-luck card game Lie Your Face Off! This 2-4 player card game for ages 12 and up focuses on light strategy, some “take that”, and a lot of humor. Players are siblings who are being accused of crazy things by their parents, and they must construct stories of lies and embellishments to get out of trouble. John is an experienced cartoonist, and each card features his colorful, fun artwork and characters.

Fans of Lost Cities, Gloom, and Dominion will enjoy Lie Your Face Off! The game is fully tested with kids and adults of all gaming backgrounds, with positive comments from everyone who has tried it. The base game is available for $20, and those who pledge early can get it for $18. This campaign also allows backers to obtain the Kickstarter exclusive expansion Your Go-To Lies, a 54 card expansion deck with more powerful cards, but with the potential for ending the game much earlier. Backers who pledge at the highest levels will have a photo of them turned into a cartoon character and added to a card in the Your Go-To Lies deck.

About the Game

You are siblings, and you’re in trouble! Dazzle your parents by stringing together the craziest lies into the most convincing stories, but do it fast, or you’ll be stuck doing all the chores for a year!

In Lie Your Face Off!, players construct stories filled with Lies and Embellishments, in an attempt to keep a story with 5 Lies in it around long enough so that it becomes believable (and worth a lot of points at the end of the game!) Other players are able to remove the most absurd Lies on the table, so your story about dinosaurs taking over City Hall is less likely to be completed than someone else’s story about a plane landing in the yard…but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try! The player with the most points from all their completed stories, Lies, and Embellishments gets off scot-free! Everyone else is stuck washing dishes for a year. Good luck!
