Smartphones had turned the world of gaming upside down. Not that long ago, PlayStations were the leading portable gaming consoles and you could see people walking down the street with them. That site is now gone. PlayStations are being replaced with powerful smartphones. The excellent hardware of the smartphone combined with great gaming apps made smartphones the “it” gaming console with one little “problem”.

The problem is not all people like to command games on the touchscreen and there are really no physical buttons found on modern smartphones (except for the volume rocker and power/lock button). Even the people who prefer playing games on the touchscreen can’t argue that you are blocking some of the screen space and sometimes even loosing (a.k.a getting killed) because of that. This is where the GameBeat gaming console steps in. It is the smallest and thinnest gaming console built exclusively for smartphones. It is super portable and can be easily placed in your pocket or glued to your smartphones protective case with a screen cover. The console is only 5mm thick so you won’t even notice it’s there.  There is no more need for any other big and chunky smartphone gaming consoles manufactured by other companies. I mean really, you need a backpack to carry them around. That is perhaps why they never really caught on and are not being used by the general pubic.

Even with its small size, measuring at only 100 x 50 x 5 mm (3,9’’ x 2’’ x 0.2’’) it has everything a much larger console has. 2 joysticks, d-pad, play/pause button, ok button, menu…. It is fully compatible with pretty much every smartphone as it connects via Bluetooth technology. The console is currently raising funds on IndieGoGo. If funding is successful it will soon go into mass production and available for sale worldwide.
