Bryant Pond, ME – June 9, 2015, a new sculpture by artist Sheryl Westleigh takes to Kickstarter. The piece, titled the Lady of Innsmouth, is an 8 inch tall bust loosely inspired by The Shadow Over Innsmouth by H.P. Lovecraft. The striking beauty with her serene yet determined face framed by a mane of tentacles as she looks out over Devil’s Reef.
The road to this point has been long, Sheryl has spent the last 15 months and over 200 hours of sculpting time creating the Lady of Innsmouth
In order to transform the Lady of Innsmouth from a clay sculpture to resin models will require a number of steps. From making several molds to casting in two different types of resin, one white for painting and the other a cold cast bronze, to painting and patina finishing. Noadi’s Art will need to raise $2,500 to fund materials and the cost of casting.
