June 10, 2014 Downtown Los Angeles – Los Angeles fashion and technology startup Apliiq, the brainchild of CEO Ethan Lipsitz, is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to fund the purchase of a laser cutter to enhance the precision of its custom clothing line. Customers will find a unique interactive experience on Apliiq.com that allows for the customizable design of a multitude of clothing options with fabric embellishments (appliqué). Each item becomes a piece of art adorning the wearer, and simply cannot be replicated anywhere else.
In 2008, Apliiq pioneered the process of customizing clothing online with diverse and colorful fabric appliqués cut and sewn onto premium basics. Apliiq initially became known for their custom pocket tees and fabric lined hoodies that have since become staples of the streetwear market. Additionally, the company is offering one of a kind jerseys with customer selected lettering and fabrics as rewards for funding the campaign which ends on June 20th. ‘We believe letters and numbers will deepen the creativity and diversity of what you can create on Apliiq.com’ says Lipsitz, ‘once we perfect these basic forms we hope to give customers the tools to create any shape they can imagine cut from one of our 850+ fabrics and stitched onto their favorite garment’. Apliiq needs your help to reach their funding goal and take their innovative company to the next level.
