My name is Thomas Di Nardo, I am a Danish Italian born in Montreal and grew up in Ottawa. I am a part of the same epidemic as many GEN Y Canadians, I am an extremely overqualified waiter desperately looking to launch into my career. I have a master’s in chemistry and a love and passion for body mechanics. After a year of job searching, I decided to take the situation into my own hands.
I have created a product called Kneadit, it is a unique massager and I am launching it using the crowdfunding site www.kickstarter.com
Here is my story….I came up with the idea while recovering from my second knee surgery. As an extremely active person, the recovery process was slow and arduous, and I felt there was something lacking in my rehabilitative conditioning. Being inactive for so long also got me thinking of our society as a population that sits for most hours of the day, making us extremely prone to injury. We spend tons of $$ of physio, massage ect . Thus the art of performing maintenance on one’s body has become a booming industry. Younger people need it to keep the body functioning optimally and older people need it to get the body back to functioning well.
Kneadit is a tool specialized for massaging calves and hamstrings but it can and should be used for almost every part of your body. It brings a few things to the table that makes it a noble competitor to all other massager products on the market.
CREDIBILITY – I’ve already gotten attention and praise from Carlos Condit the fighter and David Weck, creator of the Bosu balance trainer.
PRECISION – A foam roller is a great tool but it lacks the precision that’s needed to target specific muscle groups. Kneadit can be placed on a foam roller, which gives you extra stability to help knead out those knots ultimately improving your body’s performance.
LEVERAGE – there are tools out there that can target your muscles but they require you to strain yourself and force against your body as you apply pressure to your muscles. Kneadit let’s you relax while allowing your body weight, along with the height of the massager, to apply the pressure. This will help give you long-term relief.
On Kickstarter until May 3rd 5pm, it KNEADS your help to reach $18,000!
