Reality television star supports Kickstarter campaign benefitting cancer patients and caregivers.

Los Angeles, CA –– November 1, 2018 –– Kim Kardashian West, one of the most influential people in the world, has offered to back the startup company Cancer University (Cancer U) on Kickstarter. West’s father Attorney Robert Kardashian is best known as a member of O.J. Simpson’s defense dream team. He died from esophageal cancer only eight weeks after his diagnosis in 2003. West and her husband, rapper, singer, songwriter & entrepreneur Kanye, privately support cancer programs. West has pledged to support Cancer U if the campaign raises at least 75 percent of its goal of $50,000. West declined to comment about the condition surrounding her pledge.

Cancer U CEO and Co-founder Andrea Wilson Woods is surprised by West’s support. “I knew about her dad. I sent her DMs on Instagram, but I didn’t think she read them.”
