The outdoor game KOOB The Viking Game is already popular in Canada. Next step is to spread the joy to the US. New Kickstarter project, see here

KOOB The Viking Game is new to North America but legend has it that the very first KOOB players lived all the way in Scandinavia. In fact, it is said that Vikings themselves played KOOB more than 1,000 years ago. Today, anyone can play inside or out in the fresh air.

The game is brought to Canada by Maja Falvo, a Danish national recently transplanted in Canada. Maja says:

“I grew up playing this fabulous game with my friends and family. When I moved to Montreal, I invited friends over for KOOB games and I quickly realized that the game is just as appreciated by Canadians as Scandinavians. The game really brings people together and the fact that it can be played by both kids and adults gives the game a very unique social angle when compared to video games”.

Since the game’s launch in Canada, many US consumers have requested the game. So far it has not been possible to help them out, as all games imported into the US need to be certified by a third party testing company. Certification is expensive which is the reason for this Kickstarter project https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1196473123/bring-koob-the-viking-game-to-america-0

The game can be played in open areas indoors or in its natural outdoor habitats such as grass, sand or even snow, making it a year round good time. It gets the kids outside in the fresh air with their family or their friends and encourages friendly competition among colleagues or neighbors.

Although the design of the game is genuine Scandinavian, KOOB is produced completely in Canada from local hardwood species and doesn’t use any kind of chemical finishes or preservatives, making it a 100% natural product.
