A book that draws on the creative passions and connections of well-known artists from around the world. The Creative Pet Project started two years ago as a collaboration of well-known artists and illustrators from around the world, who had a simple thing in common. Their connection with their companion animals was an inspiring and close bond that has created a strong and reflective view on their creativity and artistic subject matter. Many of the artists (65%) have rescue animals, with some beautiful stories about their connection. They have become passionate about their bond to animals, which shows in the amazing artwork which this project has selected.

We have already released the book in an electronic version, as a ePub and PDF and readers of the book have expressed great enthusiasm for the project and are supporting the project and campaign with a great deal of interest and anticipation. The interest from the art community is so great that the project has already received 200+ requests from new artists and illustrators to be part of the second edition.

Sas Christian, top Pop Surrealist, said, “I’m honored to be a part of Creative Pet Project – to be able, in some small measure, to repay my debt of gratitude to our non-human brothers and sisters.”

Where we stand at present, is on the verge of turning this project into it’s first book. There is a Kickstarter campaign (www.kickstarter.com) currently under way, and for this reason we seek some support in getting the news out about this great project, that is starting to draw attention to a simple and beautiful connection: artists and their pets, as seen through the animal artwork they deliver to an appreciative audience.

“The main theme of the book is how animals and art can be interlinked. Towards that goal, the Creative Pet Project sponsors selected over a hundred artists from twenty-six countries, not an easy task with over a thousand original entries from which to choose. Each artist has contributed a biography that includes typical curriculum vitae details and why they selected their preferred medium or how they developed their style. Yet, just as importantly, each description shares center stage with the animals in their own lives, explaining how they provide inspiration or otherwise influence the artist’s work. There is definitely something in the Creative Pet Project collection of artwork for every art lover, and it would make a fine addition to any collection.”

Rob Snow, project creator, became interested in developing the book, after his own companion dog inspired him on a series of illustrations that explored this connection with animal and art, and how a simple love can build such a strong bond to inspire and create. Rob has been working over twenty years as an illustrator and graphic designer, as well as educating in Universities. He has exhibited his work in galleries and released many of his own illustrations in books. If you are interested in finding out more about the project read more at www.creative-pet-project.com.

INGREDIENTS 1 creative person, slightly matured 2 tablespoons aptitude 1 piece of aesthetic flavouring 6lbs hard work and sweat 4 ideas more than most salt of the earth to taste Take a creative person and stir in the aptitude thoroughly, from the start. In time, mix in the aesthetic flavouring with the most appropriate tool at hand, and then fold into the mix as much of the hard work and sweat that the mix can take. Sprinkle in the ideas. The more the better, and finally as all is cooking, a pinch of salt of the earth to give it the necessary character. Leave to cook over time and serve when required. Tasty treat in a tasteless world.
