With the $12,000 goal only inches away, this project hopes to exceed all expectations.
Let’s Kill Krampus is a dark comedy RPG and card game for 4-9 players. It is a silly, yet strategic game that combines European mythology, childhood nostalgia, and pop culture into a hilarious gaming experience with lots of treachery and excitement. Let’s Kill Krampus is a Kickstarter project that has so far raised over 99% of its $12,000 funding goal in 20 days. You can find the link to the project here.
Let’s Kill Krampus has been featured on several websites, such as examiner.com, destinationrpg.com, and antimonopoly.com.
In Let’s Kill Krampus, one player plays as Krampus, the dark lord of Christmas and Santa Claus’ evil twin brother (who seeks to punish the naughty rather than reward the nice).
The other players are unique naughty children, with their own special abilities, who try to kill Krampus. They play cards throughout the game to grow stronger, and sabotage the other children. Only one kid will be able to kill Krampus and take his place as a new Dark Lord of Christmas, getting all of the presents in the world forever!
Let’s Kill Krampus was developed by dozens of playtesters, four developers, and seven artists, including Maro Plantilla, the animator for such beloved cartoons as “Dexter’s Laboratory,” “Johnny Bravo,” “The Addams Family,” and many more! The game contains over 150 unique pieces of art, and includes everything you see below:
A $50 donation provides the supporter with their own signed, first edition copy of Let’s Kill Krampus. It also comes with many Kickstarter-exclusive bonuses, such as a PDF artbook containing developer’s commentary, a poster of the supporter’s choice from the artwork in the game, a story exploring the origins of Krampus and the naughty children, a signed card from the game, a personal thank-you card from the developers, and the supporter’s name in the game credits as “Special Thanks.”
There are many other cool rewards available, and if the game meets its funding goal, supporters can expect their copy in February of 2014: the game is fully developed and simply requires enough money to support its first print run.
