This project focuses on displaying the beauty of the United Kingdom’s most amazing locations through photography and time lapse video. Over Summer 2014, I Will Visit the UK’s Most Under Appreciated Locations to Create HD Time-Lapse Video and Photography.
The Project
My name is Stuart Brown, I’m a second year Mechanical Engineering and Business Management Student at the University of Liverpool (UK).
I’ve always been absolutely fascinated by landscape, travel, photography and the night sky. Recently, a select few who also have this fascination that have chosen to take to the most beautiful places on Earth and create high quality media of it for all to see. I’m talking about time lapse videos.
The UK has many fantastic stunning landscapes to visit that are underappreciated to the outside world in my honest opinion. As a current travel blogger and social media marketer, I feel a project is in order to reveal some of the UK’s most incredible sights to the World. For example, Glen Coe in Scotland, The Yorkshire Dales, Liverpool, Stonehenge, The Isle of Arran, The Lake District, Snowdonia, the list goes on and on.
Can you imagine a fantastic HD time lapse video looking over a clear night sky? How about a sunrise in Lake Windermere? This project will create high quality, useful content to promote our nations’ best tourist spots. The plan is to use the funding from this page visit these places in the UK and produce high quality, HD photography and time-lapse videos. In turn, I hope this to raise awareness of the natural wonders the UK possesses, and the true importance of conserving this.
Project Background
I’ve always had a passion for travel and photography since I was little when my family used to take me camping and hiking around the UK (The Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Scottish Highlands, The Isle of Arran and more). I was always in awe of the stunning landscapes and visuals my homeland has to offer and this has driven me to want to share them with the World.
In addition I’ve always had an adventurous and entrepreneurial spirit. I’ve used it to win a business award from the University of Liverpool and have raised lots of money for charity in the past 12 months through my own projects. I’ve studied risk, cost and project management as part of my degree and really enjoy the challenges of making something exciting happen.
I’m not a fully fledged professional photographer. Luckily, I do have knowledge in the field, determination, great perception and a keen passion for photography and travel. I’m willing to spend days, weeks, even months of my time in order to provide a fantastic quality product if you decided to support!
