Johnson’s Mobile Fish Market will be used to bring NC Local Fresh Seafood into inland communities where FRESH seafood is in demand but not easy to find. We harvest and catch our seafood from NC Coastal Waters. We have all the boats and equipment necessary and are licensed to catch and sell our seafood to the public. We harvest the fruits of the sea and deliver it right to the customer for the freshest possible seafood. Customers will get more knowledge of fresh local seafood and how it is caught. We aim to build relationships with various different NC inland communities and offer an abundant supply of healthy, hearty seafood to consume on a daily basis.
We have commercially fished NC waters from the Virginia State Line to the SC state line for many years. We have watched the fishing industry fall over the years due to rising seafood imports. Our mobile seafood market would be a milestone to help preserve local seafood being caught and sold in our area. There are many effects that this will have on the local fishing industry. With your help, we can offer FRESH caught LOCAL seafood to all counties in NC.
Our menu will consist of FRESH seafood (shrimp, flounder, crab, oysters, clams depending on what is caught) that the customer goes home to prepare the way that they like!
Just imagine, you are laid back in a lawn chair overlooking the Blue Ridge Parkway after a day of fun at Tweetsie Railroad. You say to yourself, I would love some FRESH shrimp to grill tonight or some LOCAL oysters. Well here it is!! This is your chance to be onboard to bring FRESH seafood to all counties throughout NC without you having to go to the coast and get it yourself!!
All the money raised for this project will go toward purchasing a refrigerated trailer and all equipment needed to transport NC coastal seafood to inland communities.
