JobzTV will be a new and easier way for job seekers to find a job. It will be an internet TV network for jobs.

“We want to improve the job search process because we believe the current model is broken and not working,” says JobzTV founder Bronwyn OShea. Bronwyn is starting JobzTV in order to help create jobs for people and lessen unemployment. According to her, JobzTV aims to make job searching more efficient and less time consuming. “Our goal is to make JobzTV the standard for how jobs are posted and distributed. It’s time to move job searching into the 21st century.”

There have been no major changes in the way we have searched for jobs over the last decade and companies have just cut and pasted internal position descriptions onto the overabundance of job boards and job seekers don’t even know if the jobs are real or not.  They simply apply to everything and anything they can, in the hope that one might stick.

JobzTV will create video job postings that can be tailored to one’s skill set and interests. The job postings will be original content which is developed by JobzTV to ensure that users will get the most out of their job search. There will be a fully customizable playlist and mobile app so users can always be updated wherever they go.

The big vision of JobzTV is to use 10% of profits for return to work programs which will help the long term unemployed and veterans get the skills they need to get back into the workforce.  Incentive programs will be established with businesses to create a financial enticement to hire the long term unemployed and veterans.

In order to materialize this and get things going, Bronwyn and her team need $30,000. Thus, they have launched an Indiegogo crowd-funding campaign (http://igg.me/at/watchjobztv). They plan to launch JobzTV October 2013. The proceeds of the campaign will go to the following expenses:

•    Legal fees to raise the first round of finance to start the JobzTV network
•    Technology Platform
•    Social Media Strategy to promote the network
•    Production of initial content

The team behind JobzTV includes top industry professionals with more than 20 years of experience in HR, media, management and technology:

•    Garick Chan is a recruiter, master connector, social media strategist with a Klout score of 74, and also targeted for on-air talent.
