My Story
I was left with no other choice but to ran away from my country in early 2019, I came to the American border via Mexico and explained my situation and the need for safety, I was greeted with an extended stay in immigration detention center that lasted almost 5 months. I was Chained around both ankles, hands, and around my waist. I arrived with no money, no contacts, and no resources here in the country.
My version of Jamaica:
I grew up poor but always had the ambition and the drive to succeed, my family members are poor, we lived in poor communities, and most people who were born poor in my country also die poor there.
Police and gang extortion:
Imagine you’ve worked hard, saved enough to start your first business, then your second, and then your third business, life seem to be getting better, right? Now imagine that you are living in a country, your country of birth, and after suffering and struggling for years you have now begun to make some headway, only to be faced with extortion demands from corrupt police, as well as notorious gang members in the country. You are suddenly faced with the grim fact that this is quite the norm in sunny Jamaica, the land of guns, drugs, corruption, and crime, where politicians keep getting rich and the poor continues to suffer and die. So you try to comply with their extortion demands for as long as you can, you know, a little $10K to $100k here and there. The problem is, the more you try to comply, the bigger the extortion demands become, and when you finally get to the point where you simply cannot afford to pay anymore, you are suddenly intimidated, targeted, and arrested. I didn’t believe such a scheme was possible but sadly, I was in for a very rude and utterly horrible awakening.
The plot to rob me and ruin my life:
I was arrested (more like kidnapped) in a corrupt operation that was well designed, I was then taken to the police station, robbed of everything I had in my possession at the time including colognes, cell phones and much much more including all the monies I had in my possession, monies that til today has not been returned, it has miraculously disappeared without a trace while in the police’s protection. To hear parts of a recorded telephone call with her voice discussing the things that she her self stole from me right in-front of my eyes, see the following YouTube – youtu.be
While incarcerated in Jamaica, I was beaten repeatedly, tormented, harassed and suffered tremendous abuse. Things got worse roughly 2 years after my release when I gave the police information regarding 2 major crimes involving certain high-profiled persons in the country,
As a result, I began getting visits from members of the gang as well as from police, threatening me, intimidating me, calling me an informant and told me that unless I change my statement against the leader I will be killed. At one point I was beaten so badly by the police that I could not walk for nearly 4 months because one of the police man damaged my sciatic nerve while he was kicking me as I’m helpless on the floor. I then grabbed just a handful of stuff from inside my home and ran for my life wearing only a slippers on my feet, I left Jamaica and all the horrible memories and experiences behind me, never again will I return to that god-forsaken country.
US Immigration lawyer needed urgently:
After arriving here at the border and staying almost 5 months in immigration detention I was finally released and I told to get a lawyer to represent me as well as to gather as much evidence as I possibly can, which I have been doing. On the other-hand, not having a work permit prevents me from working so that I can earn the money needed to hire an immigration lawyer. In the meantime, I have reasons to believe that the members of the government in my country are using this time to carefully plot their retaliation, to see my demise, to have me deported or extradited back to my country where they can continue to persecute me, torture me, and no doubt permanently silence me by eventually kill me. They’ve also began planting some early seeds in an attempt to help cover up their corrupt actions that I’ve gone public with. I’m also very worried about my family back home, I do not want gang members or corrupt police working with the gang to harm my family members simply because they cannot get to me right now.
With your generous donation, I will be able to make some swift radical life changes, changes that you can all be a part of and feel proud.
