Los Angeles, CA | April 6, 2017 — Bala Bangles are the world’s first yoga weight. At just one pound a piece they add a constant but comfortable resistance to your flow, helping to build strength and balance. The creators, Natalie and Max, will launch a Kickstarter campaign on April 6th, in an effort to raise $40,000 for the first production run.
For thousands of years, yogic techniques have been used to strengthen the body and calm the mind. While traditional dumbbells are often used in classes, they limit the full expression of your pose and practice.
While on sabbatical in Asia, Natalie and Max realized that yoga classes ranged widely in difficulty. But wanted a way to challenge themselves no matter the class level or the limited time they had to squeeze in a workout. So they enlisted the help of an industrial designer and creative director to bring their vision to life.
Natalie and Max have a background in advertising, with a combined 15+ years at some of the world’s top agencies. So they crafted the Bala brand – meaning strength based on the Sanskrit translation.
At one pound a piece, the weights are perfect for travel or throwing in your yoga bag. And emphasize lean muscle growth. Here are some of the features:
● Medical-grade silicone coating : Comfy to wear and sweat-proof.
● Cast-iron core : Built to last.
● One-size fits all : Won’t slip.
● Athletic elastic binding : For an ergonomic fit.
The creator, Max Kislevitz, said “We genuinely feel Bala has the power to transform people’s practices. The weights of old simply aren’t suited for yoga. So we’ve launched our Kickstarter campaign with the hope that other people will understand the vision and value. And, hopefully, decide to join us on the journey.”
