I’m currently working on the first issue of an interactive fashion zine, it’s for my final project at University. Publishing as always interested me as I’ve been self publishing my own work since 13. Although it’s an idea I have wanted to do for a while so thought I’d kill 2 birds with one stone!
I’ve always loved interactive books/journals like colouring in, dot to dots, paint by numbers all that kind of stuff so I thought I’d combine my love of that with my photographic style being me experimenting over photos and that combined with me not exactly loving any magazines that are out at the moment I thought I might as well create one myself! So this zine will be unique in the sense that you interactive with the editorials featured in the zine and complete the images yourself by either sticking down aspects of it, filling them in or going crazy and making the image your very own. Each persons reading will be a unique experience and everyone will have a different result! I’m really excited about this project so going to make it the best I possibly can!
However for it to be an interactive zine you need something to interact with, therefore I need to print this. As we all know printing is expensive and so I’ve created a Kickstarter to try and raise some funds to help get this project printed. The more money I raise the better quality the zine will be and more interactive elements will be included. So if you like the idea of the zine or fancy getting your name printed in the zine, a sketch or illustration off me or even copies of the printed zine then have a butchers over on my kickstarter and pledge if you want too 🙂 Any and all pledges are really appreciated!
