Creating a healthy meal plan and shopping list no longer has to be difficult. Health focused software developers Diske Inc. recently announced the launch of the beta and a supporting crowdfunding campaign for Fudbot, a food engine that handles all this without calorie counting and much more.
January 27, 2015 – For many people who wish to eat more healthy a big challenge is creating a meal plan and following through with it when shopping at the grocery store or supermarket. Formerly an area that required an intervention from a high priced trainer or nutritionist, thanks to innovative health software company Diske Inc., a new way forward is appearing this area, that’s much more simple, affordable and potentially just as effective. Enter Fudbot, a food engine that creates meal plans based on basic user data. The company recently announced Fudbot has launched its beta version, backed by an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign. The news has been met with a very enthusiastic reaction from the health world and beyond.
“We are Diske and we code health,” commented Timo Kettunen, CEO of the company. “We feel very passionate about Fudbot and know it’s going to bring a huge amount of value to users. We feel very strongly that healthy nutrition data should be available for everyone, and with Fudbot, which will feature a free version, that will become a reality. It’s exciting times with both our beta and Indiegogo campaign going strong and we have every confidence both will be huge successes.”
According to the company, Fudbot creates a healthy diet and meal plan for users based off of their body type, activity levels and type of activities they engage in. Data can be processed in both metric and US customary units and the software supports both the English and the Finnish languages. The free version of Fudbot will cover few diets voted on by users, as well as a “rainbow diet” for overall health. Paid versions will include low carb and vegan meal plans. It also recognizes common medical conditions and allergies.
The crowdfunding campaign has set a goal of $30,000 to bring the full version of Fudbot to market. Beta users have responded to the software with enthusiasm. Tuomas I., from Kuopio, recently said, “I’ve always had big problems working out what I should be eating and in what quantities to stay losing weight. Fudbot has changed that for me. Being able to just consult the software and get a simple to follow meal plan is really a game changer. Now I can focus on exercise and let Fudbot guide me on what I should be eating to lose weight. Five stars.” www.fudbot.com
