How does an outlying idea become the social norm? This is a question the short film Human Instincts dares to tackle. Directed by Chicago based filmmaker Nikola Stojkovic and produce by Dylan Morris, Human Instincts follows “Callum” (played by Brady Richter), an aloof, socially isolated college student, over the course of his first period philosophy class.
When asked to describe the film, Nikola states, “Callum is usually passive, an observer in his class’s rigorous discussions, but today is different. Today, he has something to prove, an experiment to conduct, and the rest of the class are his unwitting participants.”
To turn his film from concept to reality Nikola and his team has launched a crowd-funding campaign on Indiegogo and with already over 20% of their goal raise (at the time of this writing) human Instincts is already on it’s way. “I think it always starts with an individual and it has to be an individual of conviction. That’s how outlying or extreme ideas become the norm and Callum is definitely has his convictions.” Dylan Morris.
