Midnight Cards is proud to announce the Kickstarter release of the IMPERIAL Deck. The IMPERIAL Deck is inspired by the beautiful Imperial Eggs created by the House of Fabergé from the late 1800’s to early 1900’s. All of the Deck’s unique Eggs were Modeled and Rendered in a 3d Software Package and each of the four suits focuses on a different style and color palette.
The DIAMOND Eggs all have a Nature/Fantasy/Elfish vibe. The CLUBS are inspired by Greek mosaics, colors and geometric shapes. The Russian Double-Headed Eagle is the focal point for the HEARTS and RED Back Eggs, and they also draw inspiration from Ancient Rome. Lastly, the SPADES and BLACK Back Eggs all have a Baroque/Gothic look and feel. To differentiate the hierarchy of Cards, the JACKS are the “Warrior” Eggs within each suit. The QUEENS are simple, elegant and use light colors. The KINGS are the most decorative and ornate of the Court Eggs. Also, each of the KING Eggs contains a “Crown” at the top.
The IMPERIAL Deck will be printed by the famous United States Playing Card Company, makers of Bicycle, Bee, Hoyle and many other household brands. Midnight Cards has partnered with the House of Playing Cards to handle all of the fulfillment and distribution of the Pledge Rewards. This ensures that our Backers will receive their items in a short time period.
Also available with the IMPERIAL Kickstarter project is a 20-Page Collectors Art Book. It’s the perfect companion piece for the Deck and each Book will be hand-signed by the designer, Randy Butterfield.
