Imagining Monsters is an empowering story with amazing illustrative work. This children’s book is about a boy named Daven that learns to manipulate his imagination. His overactive imagination was causing him to lose sleep at night, but he decided to fight back with flashlight in hand. Scary monsters become funny monsters in this story, as he starts to realize that his imagination is the key. Seeing silhouettes of objects in the darkness, his imagination begins to run wild. However after using his flash light and finding out there is nothing to fear. Daven pushes him self to not see scary monsters with his mind, but silly and entertaining monsters.
DeadOn Studios also has stretch goals to create a 2D animation and an E-book on iPad that to be released free to the public, reaching a wider audience. Fighting fear one book at a time!
Why kickstarter? In the past DeadOn Studios worked with clients such as Denver University creating 3D models of a bear’s mouth. The mouths were then animated and displayed on a screen mounted onto a large robotic teddy bear. DeadOn Studios is a start-up and hopes to not only create side by side with its clients but also bring to life its in-house projects. Imagining Monsters will be the first of many creations to come into fruition if they can get the support they need.
