Now introducing the iHang, a case made for iPads. This product allows you to hang your iPad anywhere! The simple slip in case makes it easy. I hope you can visualize all the possibilities of my product just as much I can and help me to back my product so we can get this manufactured!

I once knew a man that told me “The only way you’re going to make a product for this world, is to take an existing product and make it better.” The idea came to me one night when I was thinking of new products to pursue. When I had the idea of hanging your iPad from the tray back table release clip on airplanes. The cases available for standing your iPad up aren’t the ideal way to enjoy a movie on a long flight. When the plane hits turbulence your iPad falls over, there’s never any room on your tray table these days any ways so how can you enjoy having your drink and your iPad and your peanuts too!?

My beta-prototype was made from items I found at Michaels, that I put together to make a visual concept. My idea for iHang with your help can allow you to enjoy your own personal movie screen right in front of you on your flight with no hassle of a cluttered tray table. There are so many versatile ways to use iHang its limitless! You can carry it like a briefcase, Hang it from your kitchen cabinet knob while cooking so you don’t get sauce all over your iPad. Hang it on your workbench in the garage so you don’t knock it over or accidentally hit it with your hammer.

With the quick release clips on the durable para-cord you can hang it from the back of the car seat for your kids to enjoy. Have you seen those iPad mounts for car seats? they are bulky and complicated. When you take the iPad out its also just ugly looking. The current state of the iHang product has been printed by a 3D company for a viable working prototype, from there its up to you backers to help me get the funding to bring these CAD drawings and prototype to a manufacturer.

I received a personal bank loan on my own credit to cover the cost of the CAD rendering and 3-D printing and all the other expenses it costs to start up a new business. I am hoping with your help the iHang can become QVC material and make it to TV commercials across the country and become a hit!

Along with the iHang I have ideas for break off products like the iHang Mini that will fit your iPhone. The iHang Universal that will be adjustable to fit Kindle Fire’s and Microsoft Tablets. The iHang Power which will have an external battery core to recharge your iPad. This name is a work in progress but the iHang Woody that would be made out of wood and stained and glossed over like the wood grain in BMWs and Mercedes Benz. The straps and cord would be made of leather to make a higher end version to sell.

Its going to take a leap of faith from you that we can make this product real! I am asking for $30,000 to fully back the manufacturing costs which I foresee to cost around $3.50 per unit which at $30,000 will yield about 8500 units and with packaging costs. There is also the need to get the funds for an injection mold. which will cost me any where from 10-15K. This injection mold will be the base for manufacturing the amount of units I’ll need for a large scale operation.
