Earth to Aaron, independent folk artists, turn to Kickstarter for their first full length album, an album that has been in the works for many years. Bound together by their music and their love, they are making a stand for what is closest to their hearts.
Brooklyn, NY (WEB) March 10, 2015 –Independent musicians Aaron and Sarah White, also known as Earth to Aaron, are turning to the World Wide Web to raise funds for their first full length album. They will be teaming up with Dubway Studio producer Adrian Thorstensen and owner Al Houghton, who has previously engineered for First Aid Kit and They Might Be Giants. The money raised will be put towards post-production work – mixing and mastering at Dubway, as well as the actual CD manufacturing. In line with Kickstarter.com guidelines, they will have a set number of days to raise all the funds or the project receives nothing. Aaron and Sarah will be testing the bounds of their music and their own certitude during the 30-day campaign to raise $6,000. Regarding their band name, Sarah said, “Aaron is a little spacey and I found myself saying ‘Earth to Aaron’, and it had a nice ring to it. But, when it comes to music he doesn’t miss a beat.” A handful of songs on the album date back to Aaron’s high school days (2005), and have been written and rewritten over the course of their journey.
The entire album has been recorded in Aaron and Sarah’s home studio in Brooklyn, NY. If the album is successfully funded, the White’s expect to deliver their album before the end of the year. To learn more about the album, readers can visit the project’s pitch page here: www.kickstarter.com
