CANTON BREW WORKS – THE FIRST BREWERY IN CANTON, MI. Husband and wife brewers offer brewery mug club memberships through Kickstarter.
Canton, MI, October 28, 2014 – You will soon be able to quench your thirst in Canton at Canton Brew Works, a microbrewery and tap room that is set to open in late December of this year. Husband and wife brewers Barry and Cara Boggs have taken to Kickstarter to offer brewery rewards including a membership program that is gaining popularity among breweries and customers called a mug club.
“Mug club memberships are an excellent way to raise capital and give customers a great discount on beer, both by the glass and for carry-out in growlers and howlers.” – Barry Boggs
The discounted mug club membership is exclusively available through their Kickstarter campaign and offers $1 off each beer that is provided in your own 20oz mug, instead of a 16oz pint glass. You’ll also get $2 off 64oz growlers and $1 of 32oz howlers to go. There are more benefits listed on the Canton Brew Works website at www.cantonbrewworks.com/cbw-mug-club that include free admission to release parties, special promotion nights, and exclusive access to experimental beers. Membership is $75 for the first year of the mug club and renewals are $50 per year. If you wait until after the Kickstarter campaign ends on Nov 4th to sign up, the mug club cost will go up to $100 with a $75 yearly renewal.
The stated goal for the Canton Brew Works Kickstarter campaign is to have a brewery that provides great conversation and great beer. They are raising money for their tap room build out, specifically acoustic paneling so you can hear the people you’re with.
Food won’t be served in the tap room, but you can bring in food or have it delivered from any of the area restaurants.
“We want to work with other businesses in Canton and having relationships with local restaurants, especially the ones right beside us, is an excellent way to support the local economy.” – Cara Boggs
Kickstarter campaigns operate under an “all-or-nothing” funding model so if the Canton Brew Works project doesn’t reach its goal at the end of 30 days on November 4th you may have to drink your beer in a tap room with subpar acoustics. Do you really want that? To follow their project, be sure to find them on Twitter (@CantonBrewWorks) and Facebook and spread the word to your social media networks. Consider donating as little as $1 to help their project come to life. If you decide to donate more, you might be among the first in Canton to be a member of their mug club.
