A better way to handle fall cleanup will be ready in time for 2013 leaf season, and Kickstarter crowdfunding is helping to make it happen.
All-Kleer Industries of Bolton, Massachusetts is proud to announce the Kleerz-All(TM), a hand-powered tool which quickly moves light debris off large, flat surfaces. The result of 10 years of concept development, this convenient, easy-to-use materials mover is a whole new way to clear driveways, parking areas, decks, and garage or shop floors. It’s perfect for moving piles of leaves in the fall and spring, storm debris in summer, and light snow in winter. And as a squeegee, it brings a whole new dimension to cleaning up after spills and floods. It truly is a year-round tool, providing value in all seasons, indoors and out.
The secret is in its patent-pending design, which lets you move debris in a variety of ways — plowing it out of the way as a “V-plow”, sweeping it from side to side, as well as collecting materials into the “Y-gatherer”. The Kleerz-All is lightweight, it’s instantly reversible, and its blades are adjustable, so you only need one tool to clear both wide and narrow spaces. Its unique design lets you push, pull and sweep debris from a large area with ease and control unmatched by other cleanup tools.
“Our choices for fall cleanup leave a lot to be desired,” says inventor Kay Stoner. “Rakes are narrow, they get clogged with debris, and it can take a long time to move all those New England leaves. Push brooms aren’t wide enough to clear a very wide space, and they don’t give you much control. And leaf blowers are loud, they use electricity or gas, and you don’t have a lot of control over where the leaves go.
“Keeping surfaces cleared gets even harder in the wintertime, when a little bit of snow can take forever to clear. At my home, I have a 113-foot driveway with a 2-car parking area at one end, and it can take up to an hour to clear my driveway with a shovel. If there’s at least 4 inches of snow on the ground, I can use my snowblower – no problem. But when there’s just an inch or two of the light fluffy stuff, it’s a huge pain. I have better things to do with my time than trudge up and down my driveway pushing a shovel — especially first thing in the morning when I have to get to work. So, I invented the Kleerz-All to meet my own needs as a homeowner who has a life beyond my driveway, all year ’round. After ten years of working through a variety of designs, I finally found and built one that works great. And you know what? I don’t dread the snow anymore. After the last storm we had, it took me seven minutes to clear my driveway with my Kleerz-All. That’s a fraction of the time it would have taken me with a shovel.”
It’s not just for regions with autumn leaves and winter snow. Anywhere there is a large flat space covered with light debris, this innovative tool now offers all American homeowners, businesses and property managers a great way to make quick work of time-consuming cleanup. Simply push or pull or sweep, and the 36″ blades move debris in any direction you choose, clearing a path up to 4 feet wide. With the longer 48″ blades, clearing up to 5-1/2 feet wide in one fell swoop is as easy as going for a walk. Interchangeable edges equip the tool for indoor and outdoor work, for solid and liquid cleanup. The patented design keeps the blades flat on the ground, so debris or water is easy to collect and control. And because the blades are interchangeable and can be switched in minutes, Kleerz-All owners can always have the best tool for the job at hand.
Designed with a variety of users in mind, the Kleerz-All can be comfortably handled by individuals of any height. Lightweight construction makes it easy to maneuver for young and old. Its adjustable handle lets you push material out of the way without the back strain of shoveling, or the repetitive stress that often comes from raking or sweeping. And because cleanup goes more quickly, there’s less opportunity for blisters to form. When finished with the job, the Kleerz-All can be easily hung on a wall, folded, propped up, or collapsed and stowed in a space about the size of a leaf rake. It’s easy to transport, easy to assemble, ready for duty when you are.
This exciting new innovation will be coming to market this fall — and now American customers have the opportunity to get ahead of the game, by participating in the Kleerz-All Kickstarter, which launched on Sunday, July 21. This 30-day crowdfunding campaign was launched to purchase materials and services from the American artisans who will be producing the first generation (G-1) of Kleerz-All. “I have a lot of choices of materials and suppliers,” says inventor and project lead Kay Stoner, “and certainly overseas options can be less expensive. But I want to keep this product ‘in the family,’ and support the innovative craftsmen (and women) who make this country great. In my mind, buying from China is an expense, but buying American is an investment. I’ve received more than I can say from my country, and this is one small way I can give back.”
