MyMatics has launched a campaign on Kickstarter in order to bring its Mamba3D printer to market. 3D-printers are available in all shapes and sizes and all greatly varying in quality. By introducing the Mamba3D printer, MyMatics is about to set a new standard for quality.
The campaign runs for one month only and backers have the opportunity to receive a 3D-printer from the first production batch in return for their support.
“After we announced in the media our plan to bring our Mamba3D printer to the market, we received very positive feedback”,said Michiel Bieshaar, founder of MyMatics. “Especially the news that we have spend most of our efforts in building a high quality open source printer, received a warm welcome”.
The Mamba3D is a medium sized, open-source printer using the Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) print technology. Made from an aluminium frame and high quality components, the Mamba3D is user friendly and extremely reliable. By running a campaign on Kickstarter MyMatics wants to build a community of early backers who is willing to share first experiences.
Michiel: “Feedback on how people are using our product is extremely important to us. This will be the basis for our upcoming developments”.
Because the Mamba3D printer is ready to build, production is expected to start immediately after the campaign and first products should be shipped in August.
