Los Angeles, CA – On November 5 2015, Hemp Blue launched a Kickstarter campaign for their new American premium hemp denim brand based, focused on making environmentally conscious clothing for a cause: the legalization of industrial hemp farming in the USA!

“The struggle for hemp legality goes way beyond seed and fiber: it represents some of the struggles that tug at the fabric of our society. Sustainability, responsible stewardship, government overreach, personal freedoms, job growth are just a few issues that hemp represents,” says Derek Thomas.

Hemp has been feeding, clothing, sheltering and healing people for over 10,000 years. It is one of the most versatile and sustainable crops man has ever grown. It grows without herbicides, fungicides, fertilizers and pesticide, and uses very little water to grow and process.

Furthermore, hemp can remove pesticides, toxins, heavy metals and crude oil from the soil. It can heal the earth while simultaneously offering over 20,000 commercial and industrial applications.

“Alfredo, our designer, has designed for Armani, Wrangler, and Seven For All Mankind and others. He’s a passionate, hilarious, fiery, old Italian artist and he’s a big part of the soul of the brand,” – says Derek Thomas.

Hemp Blue is helping to bring back agricultural hemp as an environmentally conscious and sustainable resource in the United States. We are using hemp to create the next level of premium, classic, denim apparel that’s actually good for the earth.

“Our vision is to create a timeless and classic premium denim brand while paving the way for a more sustainable future. Hemp Blue represents a conscious lifestyle led by sustainable decisions,” explains the team, “We are mindful of choice, and the necessity of responsible consumption.”

In exchange for pledging to the project, backers can gain access to a variety of rewards including a hemp moisturizing candle for $15, a pair of Hemp Blue’s premium denim jeans for as little as $85 and more. Backers can also pledge $135 for a pair of Men’s Hemp Jeans, $170 or $2,000 for The Ultimate Hemp Trip, a weekend with the Founders, Designer, and The National Hemp Association in Denver, Colorado.
