Growing up as a little kid, I dreamt and visioned to school at a world-class university. I lost interest in schooling in Nigeria, my country of citizenship, reasons were, I wanted to study in a new environment that will help my mental and leadership development. I needed to be in a new environment where I will learn how to do things in the right way. I was sad about the way things went sour with the poor leadership in the government of my country, and I wanted to be part of the process to help my people and create opportunities for them.
I resolved to travel abroad to study, but it is quite expensive to make it through my dream university, which is the University of Oxford.
I applied to several scholarships and I was never taken. In 2020 during the pandemic, I applied to the Russian government scholarship, I was selected to study “Mathematics & Artificial Intelligence” at Saint Petersburg University (SPbU), Russia with a full study scholarship for 4 years of my program, a dormitory placement at Saint Petersburg, & a monthly allowance of 1691 rubles ($22.82). In 2019, I moved from Nigeria to Rwanda before I got the scholarship in 2020. During this year, classes were held virtually because of the pandemic and students couldn’t travel to Russia for school. On Friday 20th of August 2021, the Russian Ministry of Education announced that all students would be allowed to return to Russia this September to begin the next academic session in-person basis.
Entrepreneurially, I am an Entrepreneur, Musician, Business and leadership coach. I founded a company in 2019 called Fidarr, an AI-enabled social music production studio that will primarily give birth to creators & enable creators to achieve their dreams! The platform empowers creators to live with purpose by creating daily inspirational & positive content. My startup company is incorporated in the state of Delaware, USA, I lead a team of 10 and we are growing speedily.
I recently held a training session with a new company coaching the newly formed marketing team here. During my session, I shared a presentation on “The four Ps of marketing” but focused on “Strategies for Achieving Brand Goals”.
Due to my financial circumstances and also personal funds I gathered through freelancing, I used part to bootstrap my startup company Fidarr, and some to sustain myself in Kigali, Rwanda. Right now, I don’t have enough capacity to cover my travel (Flight, Visa, Medical Insurance) cost to Russia and also get a new laptop – A MacBook pro for the study of my program “Mathematics & Artificial Intelligence” at Saint Petersburg University (SPbU) this new academic session starting in September 2021.
