My name is Megan, and I am finally fulfilling my dream of designing and owning my own fashion brand. Many may think that it is an unrealistic goal for a woman from a small in the middle of nowhere town in Colorado, but I believe I can make that dream a reality.

Where I am From
My journey started 5 years ago when I moved from my home in rural Colorado to the fashion capital of the world, New York City. During that time, I moved up the industry ranks to become the head designer at a contemporary womenswear brand. The only problem with this was I was always designing someone else’s brand and was never truly able to design clothes that were my vision.

The Leap:
With that in mind, I decided to take the (terrifying) leap of starting my own brand – Carter June. My brand will be feminine and filled with bright prints and colors, tailored to the strong fashion-forward woman who isn’t afraid to stand out in a crowd, and more importantly, the brand will be me. The goal of Carter June is to make women feel beautiful and find power in their femininity all in one.

Where We Are:
Over the past weeks/months, I have put a large amount of time, effort and thought into developing my brand, and I am excited to say that we have partnered with a factory and are getting ready to launch our first line of dresses for the 2023 Spring Season (Crazy how early you have to start the process right?)

The Ask:
Unfortunately, there are a large number of costs that go into starting a fashion company and producing your first collection. There are costs associated with dyeing and producing the fabric, developing samples, production, marketing, packaging, and shipping, to name a few.

That’s where you come in.

While I have tried my best to fund the company myself, I do not have the funding necessary to develop my first line with the factory. I have put this Go Fund Me together to ask for your support to produce this first collection. I believe from there, we have a bright future ahead of us and will be able to share our designs with you for years to come.

I would never ask anyone for money who needs it, so if you do not feel you can donate, please do not; instead, help to share my Go Fund Me link so it can reach more people. However, if you think you can spare $5 or $10 and maybe skip that Starbucks on your way to work tomorrow, it would go towards starting my dream.
