We are non-profit founders creating a forest retreat for the inner city students to record/learn music in an inspirational sanctuary.

Members of The World Music Foundation, a non-profit that brings world music education and performance to youth around the globe, would like to purchase and restore a rustic cabin to be used for students.  Our dream is to allow a space where, surrounded by trees, water, and all gifts from mother earth, students will be inspired to allow passion to reign free as they practice and record.  With only the sounds of birds, chipmunks, wind, and other forest delights, students are granted the peace and serenity that allows for pure concentration on their composition, learning and technique.

In addition to the music education and recording that will occur, we hope to teach students about the beauty of untouched land.  260 acres of preserved state park nature trails surround the area and can afford some students their first hike.  Additionally, fishing, camping, and gardening are future ideas for the students to participate in.

As this is a private endeavor, we have raised a portion of the down payment from our own funds.  The goal we have in mind is for the remaining half of the down payment.  There are many other costs associated with this retreat, but we plan to do the majority of the  restoration work ourselves.  Any support is appreciated and greatly needed.  Let’s make this happen!!
