Amy’s Arms is a Toronto based Goth band that has been performing in various incarnations for the past seven years. They have lately been attracting the attention of underground radio stations in Canada and the US and will be touring with David J (Bauhaus, Love and Rockets) in Spring 2014. Such a tour is a great opportunity for the band’s music to reach tomorrow’s fans, and a new album will give those fans something to take home with them after the signature live performance of Amy’s Arms makes a great first impression.

You can help them take their music to the next level with a professionally recorded album and the resources to distribute it to fans as well as campus radio stations, promoters and record labels. Contributions made will enable them to reach a much greater audience with their best sound possible.

What will the money go to? Hiring a professional sound engineer to mix the songs. Hiring a studio to professionally record the band – especially to properly mic the drums and to get the best vocal performances from the singers. Once mixed, the album will be reproduced in CD and digital download format and press kits will be created for labels and radio stations. Supporters can choose from a series of rewards named after people who inspired the band, like Charles Baudelaire, Mary Shelley, and Edgar Allen Poe.

Long term goals for the band are not limited to your ability to hear a higher quality recording on your digital music player. The band seeks to expand its reach, finding a greater audience, distributing the album across Canada and the United States and further, getting played on college and university stations, going on extended tours and creating videos for distribution and enjoyment. This album is the initial snowball that when we roll it down the hill has the potential to become an avalanche!

Remember, even if you can’t donate financially, it helps to spread the word about this campaign, so that Amy’s Arms can reach their goal by January 31st.
