In Augusta, Georgia there is a veteran that needs help covering the costs of moving to another state, to gain the rightful employment that his 30 years of experience has secured without constant stress.
Antonio has worked hard all his life, utilizing his talent in places such as NASCAR and Vanity Fair. He’s also worked in smaller businesses in the South, creating stunning graphics and persuasive marketing material. Of course, COVID hit and like so many others his “non-essential” job was cut to try to prevent the spread of this deadly disease. He hung in there, positive that he will be back to work soon and even found a job working from home. Then what started as a simple ulcer turned into a fight for his life in the VA hospital. The infection entered his bloodstream, planting him in a hospital bed for almost a week. After his stay he returned to his work job, taking calls while his fiancée administers antibiotics through an IV. With a growing family in a collapsing economy, he couldn’t afford to miss a day. Even through his pain he went on, taking care of his responsibilities.
Finally, after searching months for secure work Antonio was blessed. A position in the Navy Yard opened and he applied for it, hoping for a miracle. This job would offer job security at a livable wage with the chance to live closer to his home state of New York. His prayers were answered with just one phone call: he’s hired! Finally, he could move up North, giving his family better lives with a better salary, benefits, and the wealth of opportunities that exist near NY, NJ, and PA. The issue is that he needs to move out of Georgia.
