The past five years of my life have been pretty “impactful,” to say the least. I went through some exceptionally dynamic personal growth in that time, and the songs on this album ultimately reflect how life experiences have shaped my perspective of the world today.

Of all of the things that have come and gone in my life, music has always been a constant. Songwriting has been like keeping a journal since I first started at the oh so tender age of seventeen.

Within months of turning eighteen, I went from learning to be an independent adult to dropping out of college to befriending (and eventually falling in love with) a woman who was in an EXTREMELY different place in her life than me, and that resulted in asking myself a lot of tough questions.

Putting myself in some uncomfortable situations gave me an edge in really doing some soul searching to find out who I was and how I saw the world.  Being the optimist I’ve always been, I knew it would all turn out for the best, and it did, but that’s not to say it was without its trials.

I did my absolute best to enclose all of the above and more into the tracks on this record to make it as transparent and awesome as possible.
