Start-up Heeeelp.me has launched a crowdfunding campaign raising $20,000 to get the company off the ground!
Heeeelp.me, a start-up company for social good originating from Greece, has just launched a 30 day fundraising campaign on the highly popular crowdfunding platform, Rockethub, as a result of being one of the winners of Crowdsourcing Week 2013. Taking into consideration the impact of the financial crisis, Heeeelp.me is a global online platform that gives the opportunity to people who are in urgency or in a difficult situation to get financial support through group-funding and micro-crowdfunding and give back unique services and rewards to show their gratitude.
“Heeeelp.me began the day we realized that people like you and us have personal and even everyday needs that cannot be satisfied due to economic reasons as well as various unique skills and talents that do not always come to light”, says Alexandros Melis, co-founder of Heeeelp.me.
The team behind Heeeelp.me has chosen the crowdfunding approach to raise the first round of funding with the view to engage the community at a greater degree and create a sustainable spirit of solidarity and mutual helping. Currently, the team is working so as to improve the platform which is running in closed beta version, to be ready for the official launch in September. The start-up will ran a campaign from August 5th to September 4th asking for $20,000 and has the view to use the funds to make the platform work more efficiently and spread the word so that anybody can be aware of this solution. There are various incentives that Heeeelp.me gives to supporters ranging from certificates to graffiti of a supporter’s face on their office’s walls.
