Surrey, CA – On Feb 15th, Forrest Johnson launched a Kickstarter campaign for The Handle Handle, a new handle that makes bag handles more comfortable and user friendly, while providing new options to reduce single-use bag waste.
“The Handle Handle is a free paper board bag handle to make it more comfortable and convenient to get your shopping home.” says Johnson. “This handle makes it easier to carry multiple bags at once.”
The Handle Handle is an eco-friendly option that helps reduce single-use bag waste. This is because The Handle Handle makes it easy and comfortable to use thin reusable bags, twine handles, or tape handles to carry shopping items. The Handle Handles themselves are made from 100% post-consumer waste, are biodegradable, and printed with water based inks.
With The Handle Handle, you can easily carry multiple shopping bags without worrying about items falling out when you put them down, or having to grab each loose handle when you pick them back up. The Handle Handle makes carrying large items without a bag a breeze, by using The Handle Handle with an existing handle, or adding a handle using twine or tape.
“The very first Handle Handle was made from a cereal box in my living room in 2007.” says Johnson. “I improved the design and found a source for paperboard other than cereal boxes. I then did some market research with great results. People loved the comfort and convenience The Handle Handle provided.”
To further development of the machine which makes ‘The Handle Handle’ and to bring the product to grocery stores around the nation, Johnson decided to take the project to the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform. In exchange to pledging to the project, backers can gain access to a variety of rewards including reusable bags, handle handles, custom printed messages inside of a handle handle, and more.
